Abbe and Daniel @ the WTC

Saturday was my official last wedding of the season and it could not have ended any better then with Abbe and Daniel’s wicked cool Boston wedding. It was a wedding that could have been an international event, with guest from Chile, Canada, Korea (I am pretty sure Korea) and all over the US.

The ceremony and reception were at the awesome World Trade Center in South Boston at the Seaport Hotel and wedding coordinator Lauren Pimental and her associate Tina at the Seaport did an awesome job at keeping things running smooth. The flowers were simply amazing too, by Suzanne Bellanger of Bella Floral Design. I mean the amount of flowers andthe set up was stunning.

It was a cold day too and so we only spent a short amount of time going outside for some images in the city and by the WTC entrance, which is this really cool set of Roman looking arches.

The ceremony itself and reception were very cool. There was music by the rabbis during the ceremony and then by the Swing Johnsons during the reception. Speeches and toast were all simply amazing. I really loved the poem that Abbe’s brother Andrew read, he had people crying and feeling very emotional. It was a good speech, as was everyone’s.

Well here are some shots that should give you a nice idea of what the wedding was like.

Stacy & Matt’s November Wedding

Saturday afternoon found me meeting up with Stacy and her bridal party at their suite where they were getting ready. It was a cold and very rainy day, but as Stacy put her dress on and the sun set, clear patches seemed to clear right over the hotel yielding a few fleeting moments of a blue sky. It was pretty rad. Of course it started to rain after that, lol.

The ceremony was at the uber St. Catherine’s church in Somerville, Ma. Its a really beautiful church with lots of color, high ceilings and light! So many churches are so dark, but there was plenty of light here and cool light at that to work with well after the sun had set.

After the ceremony we were going to stop at Davis Square for some fun, but that did not happen because of the rain, so we headed straight to the Tewksbury Country Club for the reception.

It was a awesome reception with great toast and speeches and even a few surprise dances that got everyone pretty emotional. It was a wedding that everyone will relish for many years.

Stacy and her daughter have a special dance and share some love for each other. This was a dance I will never forget, it showed how much they love each other.

A family dance to end the night.

Ober Family hits the York Coast

Sunday found me up with a former bride and groom on mine, Amanda and Bowen Flood, to shoot Amanda and her siblings and their spouses. We met at Amanda’s family house up in York, Maine on the coast. It was an absolute beautiful day and everyone was dressed in khkai and white for the photos.

It was cool to meet up with Amanda and Bowen again, I always like keeping in touch with everyone. Amanda’s dad Bob, a lobsterman, gave me some lobsters to take home and boil. I did, lol. They were fresh and great, I even had to give a few pieces of the claw meet to Koko, he loves lobster. He started licking the lobsters in the bag even before I boiled them. While they boiled he never left the kitchen.

Here’s some of the shots!

Melanie and Joseph in Narragansett

Saturday found me well rested from my recent mini vacation in Las Vegas and so I was ready to rock and roll with Melanie and Joseph all day. I met up with Joseph and his family at a house in RI where they were getting ready. There was plenty of comedy and fun all about, Joseph even ordered pizza and Heidi and I were happy to have a few slices.

We then met up with Melanie at her appartment about 30 minuets away and followed her to the ceremony. Melanie was super excited, as was her mom and bridesmaids.

After the ceremony we headed to the beach in a few limos, but along the way I saw this really cool little town center. I pulled up to the lead limo, rolled down my window (at a red light) and kindly said, “We have to shoot here”. I normally would not do this, but we had 4 hours between the ceremony and reception and this was a location that I did not want to pass up.

So we took some photos on this vintage main street that was just full of color and life, hit the beach for a little while and then went to the reception.

At the country club, Melanie and Joseph wanted to do a few large group shots of family, so I set up my lights and we got it shot as the relatives arrived. Thank god for strobes, as my little on camera flashes could never have pulled that off. I pulled out the big guns for them and I love when I get to use them.

The reception itself was a musical arena, with a full band and a strolling guitarist. I really like the guitarist who went around to tables serenading them with Italian songs. It was pretty wonderful.

So enough with what I have to say, here are the pics…

Katie and Eric’s fall wedding

On Saturday October 24th I woke up to a beautiful day where I knew I was going to get great photos. I met up with Katie in Melrose where she was getting ready. Katie grew up in Melrose and it was only fit for her to be married there. Katie and Eric were married at St. Mary’s church during a beautiful ceremony. We took photos at one of the parks in Melrose and then headed to the country club for the reception.

I am still tired from yesterday’s wedding, so I am just going to go ahead and post some of the awesome picks from the day.

Karen and Reza @ Davis Square

I met up with Karen and Reza for their engagement shoot after having the first two shoots canceled because of rain. I had never met either Karen or Reza, as they booked me via online and the phone, so I was looking forward to meeting them.

I met up with them at the Diesel Cafe in Davis Square, the site of their first date, where I proceeded to get shots of the couple just having a fun time, drinking coffee, dancing in the street and kissing. It was one of the first nights that I can say was pretty cold and we did the shoot in under an hour. I can’t wait for summer to return, I really the the cold, lol.

Karen and Reza’s wedding will be in Ogunquit, ME and I am sure its going to be incredible based on how enthusiastic the both of them were about it. I can’t wait!
